Maybe the houseplants we keep at home are not as touchy as our pets, however they also require attention and care. We must concede that in spite of the minimum requirements, we here and there overlook that we have to pour some water into the pots of our houseplants, so they often wilt and die.
There are houseplants that you can keep at home and are a bit more resistant if you forget. However, remember that despite the fact that these plants are “more tolerant” to your distraction, it doesn’t imply that they can survive without water.
1. Aloe
This plant should be irrigated moderately and very carefully, in the summer months once a week, and through winter only once a month.
2. Zamioculcas
Another plant that needs watering only once a week, because too much will cause withering of leaves and rotting of the roots. So if you notice that the soil is moist and a week has passed by, wait a day or two and then add water. In fall and winter 1-2 times a month is enough.
3. Spurge
In the spring and summer, water when you notice that the soil is almost dry, and when it cools down, reduce the time between watering, that is, pour only when you notice that the soil has completely dried.
4. Epipremnum
During the spring and summer water it every 4-5 days with water at room temperature, while in the winter reduce the frequency to once a week.
5. Beaucarnea recurvata
This is one of the plants that really will not criticize the forgetfulness. You should water it every 20-30 days because excess watering can lead to rotting of the plant.
6. Kalanchoe
This flower accumulates moisture in the leaves, which gives it more durability. Water it every 5-6 days, but if you notice that the soil is still moist wait another 1-2 days.
7. Podocarpus
This evergreen plant is one of those few in need of water. In the summer there is a need for moderate watering every 5 days, and in the winter it should be reduced even more.
8. Sansevieria trifasciata
This little plant also accumulates and stores water in the leaves, so be careful not to overdo it. When you notice that the soil is completely dry, it is a sign that it needs water.
9. Crassula
If summer temperatures are very high, water it twice a week, otherwise it is enough only once a week. What you need to look out for is that the soil is neither very moist or very dry. In the winter, watering should be reduced to once every 2 weeks.
