Florida Farmer Grows Three Feet Long Avocados Called Long Necks

Avocados come in all different shapes and sizes. Even though what we see at our local supermarkets is always pretty much the same, avocados are just as diverse as many other fruits. This week, people on the internet were stunned  when a photograph of an enormous avocado has gone viral with Facebook users shocked by its odd shape and sheer size. Meet the 3 feet-long avocado known as the “long neck.”

The farmers at Floridian enterprise Miami Fruit became famous after photos of their bizarre avocados have made waves online. Unlike ordinary avocados, Miami Fruits’ extraordinary produce grows to an incredible three feet in length. The “long-neck” (also known as Pura Vida avocados) are amazing.

“The avocados are popping off right now! South Florida farmers grow dozens of unique varieties not common in any other part of the mainland USA. This is a long neck avocado grown right here in Miami! It is 100% non-gmo and organic.”

They also said that many fans “even travel the world looking for seeds to bring back to the states to try to grow. This variety in particular originated in Nicaragua and is now grown small scale here in South Florida by fruit enthusiasts.”

However, if you were planing to find some to buy, you’ll be disappointed because the company confirmed that these specific avocados are “not commonly found in the grocery store because this variety in particular is not grown commercially.”

For sure they would be a popular choice, but we will have to wait for them to become more available.

You lost me at “tough” instead of the word “through”. I don’t know where you got your education, pitiful, just pitiful.

Through? Don’t you mean Though? If you are going to correct someone at least get the corrected word correct… Js
And did you see that? I didn’t have to insult your education while I was at it! Mistakes are made everyday by each and every one us… Practice being kinder.
