Gardeners who have sturdy seedlings or re-planted tomatoes on which there are formed and grown branches, which get discarded as a regular plant care, can be used in the following way. It is only necessary to make mud in a bottle, in a fertile garden soil, and to place the bottom of the branch at the bottom end, at a distance of 10×10 cm. In 10 to 15 days from the tangled part of the branch, with regular daily watering, the new shoots will sprout and the plant is ready for planting.
On the plants grown this way, flowers are formed earlier, rather than on those grown by seedlings. Before planting, it is necessary to fertilize the hole where you’ll plant, in which you will place the plant with the part of it which doesn’t have any shootings (it is bare root) into the ground, which will enable the formation of a stronger root system. There is no central root on the tomato, so irrigation is more than necessary for fruit development.
If by June it is well sprouted, and even flowers appear at the end of the month, you can expect that the first harvest will be sometime in mid-August. From flowering to ripening, the fruit takes about 45 days. Tomatoes can be grown several ways: next to the sticks, supported wire and canopies or on the ground, without support.
It is better to grow tomatoes with support, because it is easier to preserve the health of leaves, branches and fruits. In doing so, the same plant care as for tomatoes grown from seed are applied: pincing, attachment to the support, protection from diseases, fertilizing and irrigation.

This method of tomato propagation is suitable for “rejuvenation” of crops. Early hybrids (with a high stem) give the best quality of the fruits on the first 5 to 6 clusters. Later, the fruits become smaller, and due to the decay of leaves due to illness – less quality. Because of this, the young crops are good in order to extend the season of good, quality fruits.
